Grey Limestone Mantel with Roundel Frieze

A cool grey reclaimed limestone fireplace mantel with strong grey and ochre mottling across every surface. Its frieze shares the paneled roundel layout seen on the honey toned mantel in this collection, but here the stone is darker and more figured, the roundel reads as a plain ring, and the fluting appears only on the lower half of each curved jamb. A molded shelf and a projecting lower molding frame the lintel, with square panels at either end. Suited to a library, living room, period restoration or architectural renovation.
